The Ka-band service, powered by Telesat, uses a "spot beam" approach to deliver satellite broadband access. In Canada, Telesat uses regional spot beams to provide national broadband coverage. The benefit of using spot beams is a more concentrated signal, which results in smaller dish sizes and affordable service package pricing for the end user.
The Ka-band service provides various data transfer speeds and price points to meet a wide range of home and business requirements.
